Abstract

In this paper, a design procedure of the compact fuzzy filter by using Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models is presented. The proposed fuzzy filter possesses the intuitive design of Mamdani fuzzy system and the efficiency of T-S fuzzy model. This architecture is very suitable to design fuzzy controller by hardware realization and software programming. The simulation result proves the great approximation between the Mamdani fuzzy system and the proposed T-S fuzzy filter. To the best of our knowledge, the design method and the result derived in this work are the most compact fuzzy filter known.
