Abstract

The analysis of financial data is a set of techniques used to understand the institution's economic and financial situation. New challenges have been created by the adoption of XML standards for disclosing financial information and the considerable increase in the volume of informations. This paper presents BizPro, a system for managing financial data. In particular it shows BAL, a language of analysis and queries. The solution presented in this work is different for solutions in the literature and industry, because these solutions do not offer a simple and expressive language such as BAL. The validation is done through a case study on the use of a real database.
