Abstract

The paper presents a case for using the functional language Miranda† as a tool in building simple models used in undergraduate Computer Science and Computer Engineering classes. Lexical analysis, parsing and generation of code are described by functions. However, only parsing is presented here with some detail, while two other phases are outlined. Some laboratory experiments suggested for students are also included.
