Abstract

The Mobile WiMAX is a broadband wireless solution that enables convergence of mobile and fixed broadband networks through a common wide area broadband radio access technology and flexible network architecture. The broad industry participation will ensure economies of scale that will help drive down the costs of subscription and enable the deployment of mobile internet services globally, including emerging countries. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the main features of this technology.
