Abstract

The important part that Information Technology services play controlling risks in assets management is discussed. The effect of level of threat on running IT resources is modeled and explained with a new parameter called the Rust Factor (RF), which measures readiness of resources and services in comparison to existing threats. The extent of human contribution to risk management is also explained with emphasis on level of trust, confidence and skill level.
