Abstract

The present study deals with the task of developing a Knowledge Base Framework for Information Security Metrics (KBFISM) in large organisations for military and similar use. This framework will depict in general all governing parameters that define IT security matters. The typical systemic approach of the Knowledge Based Framework will be the one initially presented by a conceptual ontology. An illustration of the KBFISM ontology will be a taxonomy table that respects the ontology entities and furthers their analysis assigning properties to these entities according to certain logic.
