In the last decade, different computing paradigms and devicesinspired by biological and biochemical systems have been proposed. Here, we recall the notions of membrane systems and the variant ofτ -DPP. We introduce the framework of chemicalcomputing, in order to show how to describe computations by meansof a chemical reaction system. Besides the usual encoding ofprimitive Boolean functions, we also present encodings for registermachines instructions. Finally will discuss how this computingcomponents can be composed in a more complex chemical computingsystem, with a structure based on the membrane structure ofτ -DPP, to move toward a wet implementation using themicro reactors technology.
