Abstract

A mad slide in a slope facing a road threatened lives of many people. This paper explains a method to detect symptoms of mad slides with the pore-water pressure in the soil mass in the slope. To represent the characteristic transition of the pore water pressure. This paper proposes a model to construct a time tube. A system has been developed to predict a mad slide using time tubes. The paper explains the system, along with an experiment to demonstrate the effectiveness of the time tube. In the experiment, the system can predict two cases of collapses of model slope in a soil tank.
