Traditional assessment of Computer Science, Software Engineering and IT are with Grade. The feedback from industry, government, and professional bodies is that too often, the grades do not reflect the actual software engineering or programming skills that the students have acquired. Quite often students get good grades but still facing great challenges at workforce, or have difficulties to take on real programming jobs. With the growing shortage of real ICT skilled professionals and with decline in student enrolments in computer science, software engineering and IT, as educators, we need new methods to measure our ICT Educations and not just grades, so that we know the impact of our education on our graduates and their level of real knowledge and skills and their likely contribution dimension to the ICT industries. This paper will detail the issues and possible solutions that could be used in enhancing this assessment and measurement by focusing on assessment of object oriented programming courses.
