In Digital Video Broadcasting for terrestrial environment (DVB-T) there is large jitter due to multipath reflections and other stochastic losses. All the existing work achieving clock recovery for DVB-T relies on very complex algorithms and calculations which are unsuitable for real time data processing. In this paper we propose an enhanced FIR filter approach to solve the color loss problem due to clock de-synchronization. It aims to be stable with jittery Program Clock Reference (PCR) and achieves synchronization quickly. This methodology is evaluated by both analysis and extensive simulation experiments for practical satellite and terrestrial broadcasting environment. Computer simulations verify the design approach illustrated.
