Abstract

Current technological advancement in the field of telecommunication and the popularity of internet causes emergence of a new concept on convergence that enables the modification of existing telecommunication business models and moves to a path of innovative communication. This converged network requires the extension of the existing charging collection information mechanisms and billing system that must be functionally intelligent and flexible, and able to optimize operator and service provider revenues and provide a fair policy toward the end users. The research aim is to extend the existing systems to provide flexible and advanced charging according to pricing policy with customized billing.
