Abstract

A novel `Rate adaptive Channel MAC paradigm' has been proposed considering perfect channel prediction and optimal rate adaptation. Simulation results reveal a significant performance gap between the theoretical rate adaptive Channel MAC and existing rate adaptive protocols- such as `Opportunistic Auto Rate' (OAR).
