Abstract

In this paper we present the analysis and optimization of the Semtex CFD application on the basis of trace data obtained with VampirTrace and visualized by Vampir. In the course of the paper the evaluation of I/O performance with regard to globally shared I/O resources and the detection of hidden remote memory accesses with the help of special hardware performance counters will be highlighted.
