Abstract

In this paper, a mathematical model of multiuser scheduling problem in HSDPA is developed to use in optimization process. A more realistic imperfect channel state information (CSI) feedback, which is required for this problem, in the form of a finite set of Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) values is assumed, as specified in the HSDPA standard [1]. A global optimal approach and a particle swarm optimization approach are used to solve the problem. Simulation results indicate that the performances of the two approaches are very close even though the complexity of the particle swarm optimization approach is much lower.
