Abstract

We discuss here a datacube model for pollutant dispersion form an elevated point source in the presence of wind gusts. The value of interest is flux of pollutant deposition versus several attributes such as pollutant type, location, geographical scale, etc. The model takes into account random variations in wind speed and instrumentation noise. We consider the case of a neutrally buoyant plume emitted from an elevated point source in a turbulent boundary layer. The results show that wind turbulence is an important factor in the dispersion plume distribution and leads to spreading the distribution due to wind mixing.
