Abstract

This paper deals with a design of active power filters using an artificial intelligence method called the adaptive tabu search. The simulation results show that the proposed method can efficiently minim?ze %THD of the currents at a PCC point. Moreover, this approach is convenient and flexible for electrical power engineers to design an active power filter with good performances.
