Context aware applications are starting to be utilized more to build autonomic systems. Therefore, it is not only necessary to know how to build them but, once built, also how to test them. There are several agreed architectures on engineering these kinds of applications, but there is no common methodology for testing them. We propose in this paper a general method that can be applied in testing such applications regardless of their architecture. As an example, we will describe two components of this method -- a context dissemination system and a context generator. Applied to wireless networking we show how they are connected with each other as well as with the system under test.
