Abstract

A novel OFDM system based on dual - tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) is proposed in this paper. In the proposed scheme, DT-CWT is used in the place of FFT. The proposed scheme offers the best BER and PAPR performance than the conventional OFDM and wavelet packet modulation (WPM) systems at the expense of acceptable computational complexity without using any pruning techniques. The need for CP is eliminated in the system design due to the good orthogonality and time frequency localization proprieties of the wavelet.
