Abstract

We have developed a system that combines multi-agent architecture with P2P networks. We built our system on the JXTA model for P2P systems. Each peer agent can enter a peer group and communicate with members of that group. Thus, a peer agent can send out a request, each potential supplier of that request can join the peer group and can respond to the originating peer agent. The originating peer agent then can choose among these potential peer agent suppliers. This requesting/responding mechanism is implemented up and down the supply chain in a basic pull methodology.
