Abstract

Web usage mining is defined as the application of data mining techniques to discover user web navigation patterns in web log data. The navigation patterns offer an insight about the behavior of the users during the navigation on a web site. In this paper we define the typical trails in a web site and we give an estimation of the length of the typical trails using the Asymptotic Equipartition Property.
