Abstract

Digital transmission is acquiring an ever increasing role in a variety of modern applications. As most of these applications demand data security assurances in order to be accepted by potential users and to be able to produce the desired results, there is an increasing demand for cryptographic techniques capable of providing these assurances. In paradigms like the mobile phone networks or IP networks, users either forfeit their need for security or rely on their service provider to satisfy their need, This paper is concerned with a low complexity technique for data protection that could be widely used as an affordable add-on in such cases.
