This paper presents an approach to establish and support learning communities. Based on task context information (which is extracted from multiple sources) and relying on the documents users created as primary source of information, the concept of a “peer recommender system” is presented which internally makes use of a mixture of different similarity measures --including, e.g., archive distance measurements and ontology based techniques.
