Abstract

Affective computing is becoming a more and more important topic in intelligent computing technology. Emotion recognition is one of the most important topics in affective computing. It is always performed on face and voice information with such technology as ANN, fuzzy set, SVM, HMM, etc. In this paper, an emotion recognition system based on rough set theory (ERSBRS) is proposed, which take facial features as input data. Our simulation experiment results show that rough set theory and method are effective in emotion recognition, and high recognition rate is resulted.
