This paper describes the work carried out to classify Search Engines used by the Meta Search System. This classification is used to choose automatically a set of Search Engines according to the category of the query. It surveys problems relating to Web information retrieval with Meta-Search techniques and, in particular, the different methods of classification and selection of queried Search Engines. It presents the results of the experiments performed to evaluate and classify the Search Engine used.
