Abstract

This paper discusses the salient features of the NPSS Architecture including its interface layer, object layer, implementation for accessing legacy codes, numerical zooming infrastructure and its computing layer. The computing layer focuses on the use and deployment of propulsion simulations on parallel and distributed computing platforms. Features of the NPSS architecture include support for Multi-Disciplinary (MD) Coupling, Computer Aided Design (CAD) access and MD coupling objects.
