Abstract

The demand for spectrum resource is increasingly growing with the rapid development of wireless networks and devices. Therefore, how to allocate spectrum dynamically to enhance system efficiency has become an important issue in recent years. In this paper, we propose a simulated annealing (SA) based approach to solve the dynamic spectrum management problem. The objective is to maximize the sum of individual Shannon utilities in a multi-user communication system. Experimental result shows that our proposed approach can achieve an acceptable solution within a reasonable amount of time as the number of users and channels increases.
