Abstract

In this paper, we present the results of two simulation sets studying the effect of non-cooperation on the cognitive network performance. Simulations are conducted in the dynamic spectrum access ad-hoc cognitive network environment using the joint channel allocation-power control problem. The first simulations set studies the effect of mixing non-cognitive and cognitive nodes on the overall network performance while the second simulations set studies the effect of different selfish behaviors on the overall network performance. Simulation results and their analysis are provided.
