Abstract

After relaying technology is introduced into the cellular system, many research fields emerge. Among them, resource allocation strategy for distributed and centralized scheduling is an important topic. This paper analyzes and compares the differences between these two scheduling modes in relaying systems under interference limited conditions, especially the advantages and disadvantages of centralized scheduling. We point out that interferer indetermination problem is a challenge to employ centralized scheduling. Several efficient scheduling schemes are proposed to reveal their characteristics. System simulation results and our analysis show that these two scheduling modes each have their strong points.
