Abstract

This paper has proposed a new kind of Anycast communication model in mobile IPv6 network which is built on mobile node tree technology. Mobile node tree technology combines Unicast technology and Multicast technology, namely, it adopts the Unicast routing technology to forward Anycast packets and utilizes the Multicast tree technology to manage and maintain Anycast members. In this model, each mobile node has only one permanent address --- home address by which it can communicate with clients, and when a mobile node moves from the home area to the foreign area it does not need to register itself with its home agent and not to build a tunnel to transfer data packet, or in route optimization it does not need to send an address-binding message to clients. In addition, this model can perform IPSec which is difficult to be implemented in the existing mobile IP communication model. The experimental data in IPv6 simulation indicate that the performance of Anycast service(for example, file downloading service) acquired in this model is better than the one in tunnel model of mobile IP communication.
