Abstract

This paper presents a novel analog delay-line based puls-width modulation controller with temperature compensation. All circuits are designed in a standard 0.35 μm CMOS twin well process. The resented voltage reference provides a supply and temperature independent output voltage of 250 mV. In addition, a ring oscillator is introduced which utilizes bulk-modulated pMOS transistors. All circuits operate within a temperature range of −20 °C to +120 °C, and a supply voltage of down to 0.5 V. The oscillator's frequency is 1.3 MHz ± 45 kHz, the total power consumption is 15 μW at 0.5 V.
