Early aspects are the crosscutting concerns that appear at the early stages of software development, i.e., in requirements and architecture design. But do these early aspects span the whole development lifecycle? How can they be traced forwards and back to other software work products? Is AO worth the effort in the first place? These and a number of other questions were discussed during the EA@ICSE workshop in 2009. The present report contains summaries of these discussions as well as a brief overview of the papers accepted for the 16th.
