With the rapid development of Internet and homeautomation technology, the internet-based home gatewaysystem has become the focus in embedded areas. Homegateway system is a complex system with typical businessprocess characteristics. However, there is little research workmade on it with workflow principle. Still less some achievementin analyzing the time feature of the real time system service. Inthis paper, two modeling methods-GPSN and workflow arecombined to model home gateway system. First, a GPSNworkflow model is proposed. According to empirical data,certain parameters are assigned to each transition in themodel. Then the time feature of status inquiry service isanalyzed with performance analysis method based GSPN.Finally, some information, such as system bottleneck points,are obtained that facilitate further system optimization.
