This paper presents logic models and mechanisms to achieve context awareness and future context awareness. The proposed approach relies on handling the topology of the physical environment. We describe methods and tools to specify and implement topology services that can provide mechanisms for both rapid prototyping application services and handling context awareness information. Finally, we report some case studies and applications of the proposed approach.
