This paper focuses on the autoconfiguration security problem in MANETs. We propose a new fully distributed IPv6 autoconfiguration scheme providing both security and robustness. Our solution introduces a new trust model based on a new concept of joint IP address and public key certificate, exploiting recently published Discrete Logarithm based threshold cryptographic tools. The proposed scheme solves all limitations of earlier approaches and seems to be a perfect solution for MANETs under strong advarsarial model.
