In this paper we focus on providing reliability as a service guarantee to subscribers in an Event Based Middleware. We provide an additional level of granularity to subscribers by enabling them to specify individual reliability requirements on a per event type basis. We present the TSAR algorithm which uses persistent path-quality information, in the form of reliability-estimates to establish routes. Initial results show TSAR establishes higher quality routes as compared to it's type-agnostic counterpart with a significantly lower message complexity.
