Abstract

In recent years there has been increased interest in the area of electronic support for group work. Several systems have emerged from research in this area and are commonly called as Group Decision Support Systems, Computer Supported Collaborative Work Systems, Electronic Meeting Systems (EMS), etc. [Huber, 1984, Kraemer and King, 1988, Dennis et. al, 1988]. The University of Arizona's Groupsystems software is one such system [Dennis et. al., 1988]. Fig. 1 shows the conceptual representation of a meeting room running the software.
