Abstract

In this paper, the implementation of a ZigBee based integrated WSN and RFID system suitable for an industrial environment is explained. The overall system consists of a central monitoring station connected to local stations through Ethernet backbone. The local stations communicate with ZigBee coordinators. Active RFID tags as well as sensors associated with ZigBee have wireless communication with ZigBee coordinator through ZigBee routers. The whole system is implemented and issues are presented in the paper.
