Abstract

In this paper we study the image illuminations and the reflected light propagations trough a web camera pipeline. We focus our analysis to illumination using a spectral image; the reflected light is captured by an achromatic doublet which focuses the light to a CCD sensor. We design the achromatic doublet; we use the aperture and the transfer function of a CCD. Several images are taken in rapid succession, at different exposure levels, and we blend the images in order to obtain a HDR (high dynamic range) image. We consider the image capture system to be axial and the light is orthogonal to the system.
