Abstract

In this paper a control and simulation of traffic control is presented. A standardized geo-referenced map is used to provide adaptability at any country. Also the application can be deployed in a distributed manner at any level of a country due to the ability of splitting a global map into blocks that can be handled locally but also maintaining the main view of the process at the upper level. In order to ensure inter-client communication and traffic optimization, intelligent agents hosted by JADE were used. The simulation results indicate good improvement at the traffic level.
