Simulation Modelling has long been used in the manufacturing environment to enhance design, planning and decision making process. This paper proposes an implementation framework to explore how simulation can be applied as a dynamic online decision support tool. The proposed framework is to describe both static and dynamic behavioural characteristics with automated system data collection, interpretation and optimisation. A better understanding of system performance and performance fluctuation tendency as well as understand the impact of planned events, decision makers could have more reliable information for decision making.
