Dynamic frequency selection for cognitive radios forms an interactive decision problem. The problem of mapping cognitive radio interactive model to game theory is discussed, and a dynamic frequency selection algorithm based on potential game under different decision rules is proposed. The proposed algorithm is tested under 802.11h settings. Results show that the frequency adaptations result in decreasing network interference, which validates the effectiveness of the algorithm. The performances of the algorithm under different decision rules are also studied, and experimental results under nonideal situations show that the proposed algorithm is robust when applied to real situations.
