This letter investigates the throughput performance of the IEEE 802.11 networks with hidden stations. Note that the decoupling approximation of the Bianchi's Markov chain model is valid for the IEEE 802.11 networks with a large number of the hidden stations. Hence, we propose a new analytic model to accommodate the effect of the hidden stations and estimate the network throughput based on the analytic model.
