Abstract

Existing applicable coverage criteria in model-based testing for statecharts do not require test suites to include all transitions between state configurations. This excludes potentially important test cases, reduces the quality of the generated test suite, and leaves parts of the system-under-test untested. We propose a new coverage criterion called All-Configurations-Transitions, which includes these missing test cases and propose test model transformation to enable existing test generators to satisfy the criterion. The new criterion improves the quality of generated test suites for statecharts using parallelism and reduces the amount of untested functionality of the system-under-test.
