Capacity of wireless communication systems can be increased enormously using an array of antenna in transmitter and receiver. In such systems called MIMO, detection of transmitted symbols is based on the perfect channel knowledge in the receiver. If the channel information estimated erroneously in the receiver, the performance of the signal detectors will be degraded and therefore the symbol error rate will be increased. In this paper we proposed a robust detection method to improve the performance of maximum likelihood (ML) detection algorithm in MIMO systems when the channel information estimated erroneously in the receiver. In our method, the ML algorithm is modified analytically to make it robust against channel estimation error with no computational complexity added to the detector.
