Abstract

Discussed is a program design language--a form of pseudocode-that has been developed and used to organize, teach, document, and develop software systems. An example of top-down program design illustrates the key steps in using the language: determining the requirements, abstracting the functions, expanding the functions, and verifying the functions. Syntax and conventions of the language are given in an appendix.
