Abstract

This paper aims to discuss how timebases can be handled by application managers in order to support intermedia synchronization in digital TV applications, including interactive and adaptive applications. The presented models and concepts are discussed based on the reference implementation of Ginga-NCL, the standard declarative middleware of the Brazilian Terrestrial Digital TV System (SBTVD-T).
