This paper concerns routing and flow admission controls in personal area networks (PANs) of Bluetooth devices. We define a solution, termed BlueFlows, that jointly implements flow routing and admission. BlueFlows guarantees 10% delivery of all packets of every admitted flow, while achieving low end-to-end latencies and inter-packet delay. Through ns2-based simulation we compare the performance of our solution to that of a shortest path flow routing (SP) with no admission control. In scenarios with medium/high traffic BlueFlows admits remarkably more flows than SP and delivers packets with consistently lower end-to-end latency and inter-packet delays.
