In environment such as nursing homes and hospitals, it is useful to track the location of some people, especially those who are mentally or physically ill, as well as the location of some of the important assets. The authors have been working on applying wireless location tracking technologies in such environment. An application software has been developed based on a commercial product and some of the work is reported separately. Recently, new functionalities have been added to the software by the authors to enable it to have database capability. This paper introduces this recent work together with the test results.
