In this paper, a new watermarking scheme based on the multi-channel image watermarking framework is proposed, which is mainly used to resist geometric attacks. The multi-channel image watermarking framework generates a watermarking template from one of image channels data, and then embeds this watermarking template into another image channel. Self-synchronization can be obtained in the procedure of detecting watermarking, because both the watermarking template and watermarking image undergo a similar geometric attack. The watermarking scheme we propose in this paper generates watermarking templates from one image channel data to which we have done DWT and DCT transformation and embeds these watermarking templates into another image channel data to which we have done DWT and DCT transformation. This scheme is robust to some geometric attacks and common signal processing such as geometric distortion, rotation, JPEG compression and adding noise ect.. Experimental results demonstrate that this watermarking scheme produced by the multi-channel watermarking framework achieves a high performance of robustness.
