Abstract

In this paper, a technique based on DWT masking is proposed to improve the watermark retrieval performance of the color image watermarking scheme. Accordingly, the DWT mask is derived from the luminance components of the host image and used as a tuning factor in the watermark embedding process. Based on our approach, the experimental results show the retrieval improvements in term of NC, compared to the previous watermarking scheme proposed in [6]. The robustness against attacks of the embedded watermark is also evaluated. The results obtained after applying various types of attacks also reveal a higher efficiency of our proposed watermarking scheme, compared to the previous one.
